Mr. William E. MaCaulay is an Independent NonExecutive Director of Glencore Plc. Mr. Macaulay is the chairman and chief executive officer of First Reserve Corporation a private equity investment firm focused on the energy industry and was with the company since its founding in 1983. Prior to joining First Reserve Mr. Macaulay was a cofounder of Meridien Capital Company a private equity buyout firm. From 1972 to 1982 he was with Oppenheimer Co. where he served as director of corporate finance with direct responsibility for the firms buyout business. He also served as president of Oppenheimer Energy Corporationrationration. Mr. Macaulay is chairman of the board of DresserRand chairman of the board of CHC Group Ltd and a director of Weatherford International . He also serves at different private energy company boards. In addition he is chairman of the advisory board of the City University of New York since 2011.
