Mr. Louis T. Hsieh is Independent Director of JD.com, Inc. Mr. Hsieh was the group chief financial officer of NIO Inc., a pioneer in Chinas premium electric vehicle market listed on the NYSE since May 2017. Mr. Hsieh has served as the director of New Oriental Education Technology Group Inc., the largest provider of private educational services in China listed on the NYSE, since March 2007, and served as its chief financial officer from 2005 to 2015 and its president from 2008 to 2016. He also has served as an independent director and chairman of audit committee of YUM China Holdings, Inc., an NYSElisted fast food restaurant, since 2016. He was also the chief financial officer of ARIO Data Networks, Inc. in San Jose, California from 2003 to 2005. Prior to that, Mr. Hsieh was a managing director for the private equity firm of Darby Asia Investors Limited from 2002 to 2003. From 2000 to 2002, Mr. Hsieh was the managing director and the AsiaPacific techmediatelecoms head of UBS Capital Asia Pacific, the private equity division of UBS AG. From 1997 to 2000, Mr. Hsieh was a technology investment banker at JP Morgan in San Francisco, California, where he was a vice president, and Credit Suisse First Boston in Palo Alto, California, where he was an associate. From 1990 to 1996, Mr. Hsieh was a corporate and securities attorney at White Case LLP in Los Angeles since 2014.
