Mr. James H. Morgan serves as NonExecutive Chairman of the Board of Krispy Kreme Doughnuts Inc. effective January 29 2015. He is no longer President Chief Executive Officer of the Company effective June 1 2014. He has served as Chairman of the Board of Krispy Kreme since 2005 Chief Executive Officer of Krispy Kreme since 2008 President of Krispy Kreme from 2008 to November 2011 and from April 2012 to present Vice Chairman of the Board of Krispy Kreme from 2004 to 2005 Chairman of Covenant Capital LLC an investment management firm from 2001 to 2008 Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Wachovia Securities Inc. from April to December 1999 and employed by InterstateJohnson Lane an investment banking and brokerage firm from 1990 to 1999 in various capacities including as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer and led the transition during the merger of InterstateJohnson Lane and Wachovia Corporation in 1999. With more than twelve years of service on the Board Mr. Morgan brings deep institutional knowledge and perspective regarding Krispy Kremes strengths challenges and opportunities. He also brings extensive public company and financial services industry experience to Krispy Kremes Board. As Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Wachovia Securities and InterstateJohnson Lane he was indirectly responsible for major financial functions as well as ultimately responsible for enterprise riskmanagement. These prior leadership and oversight responsibilities are of great value to the Krispy Kreme Board. He is Director of CocaCola Bottling Co. Consolidated the nations second largest CocaCola bottler since 2008. since 2015.
