The company has return on total asset (ROA) of 17.72 % which means that it generated a profit of $17.72 on every $100 spent on assets. This is normal as compared to the sector avarege. Similarly, it shows a return on stockholder's equity (ROE) of 29.44 %, meaning that it created $29.44 on every $100 dollars invested by stockholders. Michael Kors' management efficiency ratios could be used to measure how well Michael Kors manages its routine affairs as well as how well it operates its assets and liabilities. The company currently holds 759.6 M in liabilities with Debt to Equity (D/E) ratio of 34.7, indicating the company may have difficulties to generate enough cash to satisfy its financial obligations. Michael Kors Holdings has a current ratio of 1.45, which is within standard range for the sector. Debt can assist Michael Kors until it has trouble settling it off, either with new capital or with free cash flow. So, Michael Kors' shareholders could walk away with nothing if the company can't fulfill its legal obligations to repay debt. However, a more frequent occurrence is when companies like Michael Kors Holdings sell additional shares at bargain prices, diluting existing shareholders. Debt, in this case, can be an excellent and much better tool for Michael to invest in growth at high rates of return. When we think about Michael Kors' use of debt, we should always consider it together with cash and equity.
