Mr. Michael McLaughlin serves as Country Head United States of America of Macquarie Group Ltd., since January 1, 2012. Michael joined Macquarie in 2008 when he launched the firms Credit Trading Division, which he currently heads. He is also Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer of Macquarie Credit Investment Management Inc., the investment manager for the Macquarie Credit Nexus Fund. Michael founded Macquaries buy side credit proprietary trading business, Principal Trading, and led its conversion to a funds management business. As US Country Head, he has driven the continued growth of Macquaries US operations. Prior to Macquarie, Michael worked at Banc of America Securities for 14 years. since 2012.
