Newcastle Investment Management Efficiency

The company has Return on Asset of 2.0 % which means that on every $100 spent on assets, it made $2.0 of profit. This is way below average. Newcastle Investment's management efficiency ratios could be used to measure how well Newcastle Investment manages its routine affairs as well as how well it operates its assets and liabilities.
The company has 1.35 B in debt with debt to equity (D/E) ratio of 5.24, demonstrating that the company may be unable to create cash to meet all of its financial commitments. Newcastle Investment Corp has a current ratio of 0.7, suggesting that it has not enough short term capital to pay financial commitments when the payables are due. Debt can assist Newcastle Investment until it has trouble settling it off, either with new capital or with free cash flow. So, Newcastle Investment's shareholders could walk away with nothing if the company can't fulfill its legal obligations to repay debt. However, a more frequent occurrence is when companies like Newcastle Investment Corp sell additional shares at bargain prices, diluting existing shareholders. Debt, in this case, can be an excellent and much better tool for Newcastle to invest in growth at high rates of return. When we think about Newcastle Investment's use of debt, we should always consider it together with cash and equity.
