Northern Technologies Management Efficiency

The company has return on total asset (ROA) of 0.0111 % which means that it generated a profit of $0.0111 on every $100 spent on assets. This is way below average. Similarly, it shows a return on stockholder's equity (ROE) of 0.0861 %, meaning that it created $0.0861 on every $100 dollars invested by stockholders. Northern Technologies' management efficiency ratios could be used to measure how well Northern Technologies manages its routine affairs as well as how well it operates its assets and liabilities. As of April 16, 2024, Return On Tangible Assets is expected to decline to 0.04. In addition to that, Return On Capital Employed is expected to decline to 0.09. At present, Northern Technologies' Non Current Assets Total are projected to increase significantly based on the last few years of reporting. The current year's Non Currrent Assets Other is expected to grow to about 622.5 M, whereas Other Assets are forecasted to decline to about 79.1 K.
The company currently holds 6.79 M in liabilities with Debt to Equity (D/E) ratio of 0.07, which may suggest the company is not taking enough advantage from borrowing. Northern Technologies has a current ratio of 2.69, suggesting that it is liquid enough and is able to pay its financial obligations when due. Debt can assist Northern Technologies until it has trouble settling it off, either with new capital or with free cash flow. So, Northern Technologies' shareholders could walk away with nothing if the company can't fulfill its legal obligations to repay debt. However, a more frequent occurrence is when companies like Northern Technologies sell additional shares at bargain prices, diluting existing shareholders. Debt, in this case, can be an excellent and much better tool for Northern to invest in growth at high rates of return. When we think about Northern Technologies' use of debt, we should always consider it together with cash and equity.
