Mr. Xavier Garcia de Quevedo Topete serves as Independent Director of Southern Copper Corporationrationration. He was our Chief Operating Officer from April 12, 2005 until April 23, 2015. Mr. Garca de Quevedo was the Chairman of the Mining Chamber of Mexico from November 2006 to August 2009. He is a chemical engineer with a degree from the UNAM in Mexico City, Mexico. He also attended a continuous business administration and finance program at the Technical Institute of Monterrey in Monterrey, Mexico.
