At the end of 2010, Dr. Brand retired as Senior Vice President, Technology of ConocoPhillips, a multinationalintegrated energy company. Prior to his appointment as Senior Vice President, Technology of ConocoPhillips in October 2007, Dr. Brand served as Vice President, Exploration and Business Development at ConocoPhillips, beginning in 2005. Dr. Brand started his career in 1976 as a geologist with Phillips Petroleum Company and thereafter served in various roles of increasing responsibility with Phillips Petroleum and its successor, ConocoPhillips, including serving as President, Canada and President, Australasia. since 2011.
