Mr. Mark J. DeCesaris is no longer Chief Executive Officer and Director of the Company., effective on December 31, 2017. He had served as Chief Financial Officer of the Company, CPA16 Global and CPA17 Global from July 2010 to March 2013, having previously served as Acting Chief Financial Officer, Managing Director and Chief Administrative Officer of the Company and CPA16 Global since November 2005 and of CPA17 Global since October 2007. Mr. DeCesaris had also served as Chief Financial Officer of CPA18 Global from September 2012 to March 2013 and as Chief Financial Officer of CWI from March 2008 to March 2013. He has served on the Board of Managers of Carey Financial, LLC, the Company brokerdealer subsidiary, since 2006, and as Chairman since May 2013. Prior to joining W. P. Carey, from 2003 to 2004 Mr. DeCesaris was Executive Vice President for Southern Union Company. From 1999 to 2003, he was Senior Vice President for Penn Millers Insurance Company, a property and casualty insurance company, where he served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Penn Software, a subsidiary of Penn Millers Insurance. From 1994 to 1999, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of System One Solutions, a business consulting firm that he founded. Mr. DeCesaris is a licensed Certified Public Accountant and started his career with Coopers Lybrand in Philadelphia
