Dr. Anthony D. Knerr serves as an Independent Director of Delaware Investments Dividend and Income Fund Inc. since April 1990. Currently the Coordinating Director Dr. Knerr has over 40 years of experience in higher education. He has served in senior executive positions at two universities where he was responsible for overseeing finances investments internal audit risk management and related functions. He founded an international strategy consulting firm that has assisted universities and other nonprofit institutions on a wide range of strategic business and financial issues. He has also served as an officer and board member of numerous nonprofit organizations and has taught at several universities. He received his Ph.D. from New York University and his M.A. and B.A. from Yale University.

Delaware Dividend Leadership Team
Elected by the shareholders, the Delaware Dividend's board of directors comprises two types of representatives: Delaware Dividend inside directors who are chosen from within the company, and outside directors, selected externally and held independent of Delaware. The board's role is to monitor Delaware Dividend's management team and ensure that shareholders' interests are well served. Delaware Dividend's inside directors are responsible for reviewing and approving budgets prepared by upper management to implement core corporate initiatives and projects. On the other hand, Delaware Dividend's outside directors are responsible for providing unbiased perspectives on the board's policies.
