Mr. David P. OConnor Esquire serves as Executive Vice President General Counsel and Chief Legal Officer of Delaware Investments Dividend and Income Fund Inc. He joined Delaware Investments in 1996 and spent several years in the firms legal department where he served as associate general counsel. In June 2005 he was promoted to senior vice president strategic investment relationships and initiatives where his responsibilities included overseeing the firms subadvisory relationships including investment responsibility and coordination of the firms Investment Review Committee and working with the firms executive team on strategic opportunities. In late 2005 he took on additional responsibilities when he became the firms general counsel where his responsibilities include overseeing the Legal and Compliance departments. Prior to joining Delaware Investments Mr. OConnor was an associate in the business and finance department of the Philadelphia office of Ballard Spahr Andrews Ingersoll where he focused on mergers and acquisitions contract negotiations and investment company work
