City Holding Management Efficiency

The company has return on total asset (ROA) of 0.0191 % which means that it generated a profit of $0.0191 on every $100 spent on assets. This is way below average. Similarly, it shows a return on stockholder's equity (ROE) of 0.1793 %, meaning that it created $0.1793 on every $100 dollars invested by stockholders. City Holding's management efficiency ratios could be used to measure how well City Holding manages its routine affairs as well as how well it operates its assets and liabilities. As of the 3rd of May 2024, Return On Tangible Assets is likely to drop to 0.01. In addition to that, Return On Capital Employed is likely to grow to -0.0004. At this time, City Holding's Total Assets are very stable compared to the past year. As of the 3rd of May 2024, Non Current Assets Total is likely to grow to about 6.3 B, while Other Assets are likely to drop about 1.7 B.
The company currently holds 434.86 M in liabilities with Debt to Equity (D/E) ratio of 0.04, which may suggest the company is not taking enough advantage from borrowing. Debt can assist City Holding until it has trouble settling it off, either with new capital or with free cash flow. So, City Holding's shareholders could walk away with nothing if the company can't fulfill its legal obligations to repay debt. However, a more frequent occurrence is when companies like City Holding sell additional shares at bargain prices, diluting existing shareholders. Debt, in this case, can be an excellent and much better tool for City to invest in growth at high rates of return. When we think about City Holding's use of debt, we should always consider it together with cash and equity.
