He acted as Trainee and worked as Construction Works Engineer and Superintendent at EBEC Engenharia Brasileira de Construcoes SA until 1983. From 1983 to 1987, he was Director Superintendent at CR Almeida Engenharia e Construcoes SA. In December 1987, he acquired Construtora Malachias Ltda, and in, January 1988, he joined Construtora Triunfo SA. He gained a degree in Economics from FAE Faculdade de Administracao e Economia and in Civil Engineering from Universidade Federal do Parana. since 2008.
